[TalkBack] Volume handler locks up system

I never have this problem with the Play Store version of Talkback.
I sometimes see the problem after entering a network password in Wi-Fi settings 
to connect to a network.

After the password is entered the Home/Back features stop working.
The only way to recover is forced reboot.

I have seen this with Talkback r45 and now r46 on 4.04 AOSP.

This is similar to r46 issue 96.

After reviewing issue 96 again it has me wondering...
When I enter teh network password I often use teh volume rocker to bring up the 
Eyes Free Keyboard and take it down and it is multiple actions to get through 
its modes.
I am sure there were times on r45 when the EFK was not in use.
