What is the intended use of the rst holes?

I soldered a link across them as one video showed, but this prevented the board from connecting via wifi or USB. Removing the link fixed it.

Is it intended to be for a button?

Outside the obvious for reset. I’ve soldered two pins and just tap them (to short) when I need to reset.
