Documentation for stl

Is there some documentation explaining how to get this script to display an stl 
file.  All the examples work on obj files.

I'm sorry for the lack of tutorials :-(
This snippet demonstrates how to work with STL files:

var canvas = document.getElementById('your-canvas-id');
var viewer = new JSC3D.Viewer(canvas);
viewer.setParameter('SceneUrl', 'your-stl-model.stl');
... (other parameters) ...
viewer.setParameter('RenderMode', 'flat');
viewer.init();
viewer.update();

If you want to load an STL model at runtime, just use 
Viewer.replaceSceneFromUrl() method:

viewer.replaceSceneFromUrl('another-stl-model.stl');

That's it.

Thanks for that.
It doesn't seem to work though.
I just get a graduated background and no image.
Developer console in Chrome doesn't see the stl file being loaded.
Am I missing something?  Are there any required parameters?

Does the XHR request finish correctly? If it does, there will be a message "XHR 
finished loading: ..." printed in the console. If this does not appear, you may 
have a wrong model url. Otherwise, the STL file may be corrupted or in 
non-standard format. In this case you should check it using a modeling 
software. Or could you upload the file as an attachment here? I'll see it as 
soon as possible.

I'm running into the same problem described here, and I'm just using the STL 
files in the demo/models area of your site.  None of the STLs in the demo area 
work for me, but the obj files do.

It seems work fine in my test. I guess you might be confused by a dated version 
of jsc3d. Please get the latest code from the svn repository.
