Scope

This add information about product version management and product compatibility policy

Changes

Some changes were extracted from sftpplus.com website https://www.sftpplus.com/product/life-cycle.html

Some part of these information should be rephrased for end user consumption and integrated into sftpplus.com documentation ... for example the warnings, how to check them .... generic upgrade procedure... best practices for running 2 parallel versions

Also, as a follow up we might need to have tickets in sftpplus... as for example instead of sftpplus-mft as the service name, we will have sftpplus-3 and then sftpplus-4 ... so that we can run 3 major versions in parallel

The goal of these changes is to document the current experience we had with releasing a product and support previous version and support upgrade procedures.

I would remove the paragraph I've commented on; I don't think we can provide any guarantees that if there are no removal (deprecation) warnings the migration will be entirely automatic.

I think that we should have 2 separate tickets to discuss about how to do testing releases and how to manage the migration between major versions

maybe we can have a voice chat with the dev team to discuss these issues
