Hi , i have mecool m8s-dvb -s2/s2x and inbuilt tuner on Alexelec Legacy (3.14 kernel -amlogic) in tvheadend 4.3beta have no S2X, only S/S2 , your new branch "dvb-sucks" for amlogic and upstream kernel (dvb-api for s2x) is as far i know for S2X is only one possible way to have this extended standard support , i copied from crazycat repo this files , seems to be compatibile also for m8s-dvb-s2x

There is no Amlogic demux driver in the kernel (or any signs of someone writing one) so even if the tuner/demod drivers in this branch compile; nothing is usable. I have no current plan to do further work on the branch.
