The current upstream ge2d driver is the result of a commecial work-package in 2019/2020 targetting the Amlogic's smart-speaker platform (AXG). G12A+ uses different ge2d registers to AXG so it needs more than simple copy/pasting of nodes in device-tree. So actions are:
Extend support to newer modern SoC generations (g12a, g12b, sm1 with equal priority)
Extend support for older SoC generations (gxl/gxm have priority, then gxbb)
Extend the featureset, there is particular interested in colourspace transformations to support HDR > SDR conversion
