I agree that is not incorrect to omit some minor details to keep the diagrams comprehensible:

However, the missing multiplicities are on the UML diagrams are for classes are crucial to the model segment. In fact, multiplicities of these classes are crucial to helping a developer that is reading this developer guide understand this software.

Thus, I feel that these multiplicities should not be omitted.
