bower install octicons

best method: add padding to existing element and use Octicon as background image

do not do things like <i class="octicon"></i> (empty markup).

specific requests:

• [ ] pdf file icon for links to pdf
• [ ] external icon for external links
• [ ] lock icon for secure links (although if everything were secure this would be unnecessary)
• [ ] pull request / issue open/closed icons for web portfolio
• [ ] question icon for info thingies
• [ ] heart icon for help thingies
