Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Annoying to not be able to create a file & get unable to get current file path when I just don't have any active file.

Describe the solution you'd like Whenever Append link is selected in a Template, the user should be able to have it ignore that option whenever no file is open, and just proceed with file creation anyway.
