Ability to click on 3D polygon surface to open description balloon

Google Earth

What should this feature enhancement do?

Provide the ability to open a description balloon associated with a 
polygon by clicking it within the earth browser itself.  Very similar to 
opening a balloon from clicking on a placemark.

Are there any currently known workarounds that produce the same, or
similar, result?

Only by clicking on the earth's surface within the polygon or a hyperlink 
from within the navigation pane.
