[ ] vertical, collapsible menu component
[ ] addMenuItem function to register menu items - should accept name, icon and path
[ ] add to app
[ ] add addPlainRoute to add paths which should be rendered without the standard UI (think login screen)
[ ] update addRoute to render the menu

Done as part of #24 (although it's not collapsible).
