Tweaks to transcode directory to iTunes #332

I have a directory of mp3s, aacs, alacs, and flacs.  I would like to transcode 
the files to iTunes.  Specifically, I would like to copy mp3s and aacs.  I 
would like to transcode alacs and flacs.  I see two enhancements to be made:

1. An option to specify file extensions with bitrates to skip (.m4a is used for 
aac and alac).
2. An option to copy files that are excluded from transcoding rules.

Other software such as Media Monkey and JRiver Media Center have similar 
features (transcoding the library and falling back to simple file copy based on 
file extension and bitrate) that could be used for reference.

Would the xld author(s) accept a patch that adds the above behavior?  If so, 
who can I contact to discuss design and implementation?
