That's a pretty nihilist enhancement... Chilitags 3, a markerless fiducial marker library. Seriously, what would be the intersection between Chilitags and markerless pose estimation ?

I agree that implementing such a feature would require a change in chilitags' tagline. But AFAIK, fiducial markers are just a subset of generic patterns, and if the initial (and only?) point of using them was robustness, I believe we should reconsider that design choice in light of the ~10y of advancements in feature detection.

So in the case you were serious, I'd refer to the "do one thing, do it well" philosophy which I think is important for a library. How about moving this issue to qimchi ? I feel it fits the scope better.
