Others should weigh in, but given that the b-term is specific to the Galt products it seems confusing to add it as an option to all the more general delay/fringestop routines. One possible alternative could be to make a new routine fringestop_time_galt, or something similar, that calls the fringestop routines and then adds a b-term phase.
