Then after that it's just a "THank you! We'll get back to you in X hours!".

The type of data you need for a loan are current debts (student loan, mortgage, other types of loan), employment and income data.

I don't know if it's usual in Canada/US to expect people to also contract a credit insurance as well, but if it just add it up with the installments (if the person dies or doesn't pay, the lender is insured for the amount that was lent).
