We made it! It's working fine. I also did a small refactoring, made code more readable by commenting it and made the actual month change automatic so when mars comes the page will load in mars.
There is just a small bug that I wasn't able to fix for now: When you check a checkbox and then click on the chevrons to change month and then change back to the month the chbx was click the page doesn't render the change, only by refreshing it.
