Fixing typos, broken links, clarifying steps in new docs

Current state

Issue Number(s): These are follow-ups to #364 and #365.

Proposed changes

Once I was able to actually review the new system in place with the previous PRs merged, I found some typos, broken links, and places where steps could be clarified.

As these are minor typos and wording changes, and the underlying PRs were already approved, I am going to be bold and just go ahead and merge this.
