What works in PowerShell is:
Invoke-WebRequest -Uri https://codeload.github.com/chipzoller/hugo-clarity/zip/master -OutFile hugo-clarity.zip
Expand-Archive hugo-clarity.zip
Copy-Item -Recurse .\hugo-clarity\hugo-clarity-master\exampleSite\* .
Remove-Item -Recurse -Force hugo-clarity
Remove-Item hugo-clarity.zip
Remove-Item -Force config.toml
I'm not a PowerShell specialist, so I hope someone comes up with a better solution.
Thanks Much appreciated. Sorry for my poor typing had a few brews when I typed it.
The commands in the readme
wget -O - https://github.com/chipzoller/hugo-clarity/archive/master.tar.gz \
| tar xz -and cp -a hugo-clarity-master/exampleSite/* . -and rm -rf hugo-clarity-master -and rm -f config.toml
The tar option did not work for me, so I used zip and it worked.
Thanks
Should I leave this open as I am not sure if there is an issue with the tar options in the readme file, or whether it is user error.
Describe the change
Hi I tried installing the Clarity theme for Hugo using the PowerShell install command you provided and it appear to download the bot does not seem to extract the files. I am on Windows using vscode, and I am left file 4000 KB file with no extension. I am assuming the command downloads the repository extracts the files folders and delete the downloaded archive file. I am not that familiar with tar so I am not sure what is not working. Any help would be appreciated.
