GE Plugin compatibility problem with OSX Lion Safari #675

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I'm having trouble with the latest GE plugin, Installed Plugin
Version: 6.1.0.4738. When I run Safari on a Mac (lion) I get a white
screen. All I can see is the "terms of Use" in the lower right. Same
problem with Firefox for Mac. Chrome is OK.
This problem exists even with the sample on main GE plugin page. This
has been going on for a couple of weeks, prior to that it was OK.
I've reloaded the plugin and even reinstalled Lion OS.
Thanks for any advice you can give me.
Kerry

Which plugin version are you using?

Which browsers and operating systems are affected?

Please provide any additional information (code snippets/links) below.

I am having the same problem and also when I upload a file containing the GE
API the java gets <!---- and the map will not load on safari for my website.
It works on facebook but chokes and you need to refresh. I have key and all .
It loads fine on html practice board, but not on my website.

This has been fixed in 6.2. If you are still experiencing the issue, please
make sure you have updated to the latest version (auto-updates will roll out
over the next week), and add details here.

I have been having this problem with Google Earth's plugin. Additionally Google
Earth will not work and I have gone through all the troubleshooting problems
listed in the Help / Troubleshooting pages to delete supporting files in the
cache and potential corrupt kml files. Anyone else having these problems? Any
support out there. It has been over a year since I have been able to use Google
Earth on my MacBook.

I have the latest releases of the OS, Earth App, and plugin.

The white screen was occurring in Chrome. I opened Google Maps and ran the
plugin in Safari and the plugin worked there. When I returned to Chrome for
some strange reason it began to work there after multiple failures prior to
opening the plug in Safari of getting a white screen with only the "Terms of
Use" showing up in the lower right hand corner of the Chrome browser window.

I found the KML files and deleted. Google Earth app still hangs at start up.
