Driving Simulator will not start #958

Hi there,

I am able to load a route okay and it shows me the directions
but when I press the start button nothing happens.

I have been using the simulator for a while now with no problems
but of the last week or so this has become a hard fault.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the GE plugin, clearing
the cache and ipconfig /flushdns etc, rebooting, with no luck.
I use windows 7 and chrome

Any help appreciated.

Which plugin version are you using? Version 7.1.1.1871

Hi, could you be specific about what "driving simulator" this is (there are 
numerous ones)?  Note that this is meant for issues with the Google Earth 
Plugin, and it may not necessarily be due to an issue in the plugin.  Also 
could you provide your version of Google Chrome?  Thanks!

Likewise, does not work for 7.1.2.2041 plugin using Chrome (latest version), 
FireFox 28, or IE 9 from Windows 7.

The 'Start' button stays disabled (grey) and never becomes clickable.

It doesn't work on the newest plugin for me either. It works in no browser 
(also tried Opera, don't really know what I was expecting) and I've been having 
this issue since about July. The driving simulator we're referring to is the 
"Google Earth Plugin Driving Simulator", which is the one that uses the Google 
Earth API

This issue has been going on for about a year now, it would be nice if this 
worked as it appears the issues surrounding long wait times for large direction 
files are gone, this was a really cool app when it worked.

More than likely, this issue is with the plugin, as there have been several 
iterations of google chrome that this has occurred over, not just the most 
recent one.
