Plugin disappears in Chrome when the F12-menu is brought up

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load page with a working instance of the Google Earth Plugin
2. Press f12
3. The plugin disappears

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
Shouldn't disappear, it does.

Which plugin version are you using?
Google Earth API version 7.1.2.2041

Which browsers and operating systems are affected?
Chrome: version 39.0.2171.95
