Causal inference #11

I don't have a specific project in mind here, but at minimum I think it could be fun to have a birds-of-a-feather lunch group for those interested in all or any form of causal inferences. This is such a broad field, but it would be fun to hear more from those working on it from different angles (RCTs, DAGs, econmetrics, etc.) and discuss what a unifying R infrastructure could look like. Right now, the package landscape feels all-over-the-place and likely provides unnecessary barriers for practitioners to switch between methods easily.

+1 I have some experience with applied econometrics in R (diff-in-diff, fixed effects, regression discontinuity) and want to think more about DAGs (which seem all the rage these days!). Agree with the need for a unifying framework in R!
