I do not have any particular ideas in mind (maybe I will as the event gets closer), but I really enjoyed working on a package related to NLP last year at the Unconf. Maybe we can have a BOF type sub-event during the collab! I usually love discussing any content related to NLP but my interests are specifically within semantics and how current NLP systems could (and should) represent word meanings in a better way. I'd be very excited to discuss further :)

I'm interested in nlp also! I did some light nlp for my dissertation, but very interested in extending that learning.

This should be interesting! I'm almost done with a course on Content Analysis this quarter, and we've been using Python for our projects. I'd be very interested to know how these methods and models have been implemented in R, and happy to chat about semantic models and their limitations.
