Enable auto display of Name data from KML next to icons in GoogleMaps as it is in GoogleEarth #262

What should this feature enhancement do?
If you import a KML fil with Name data into Google Earth the Name is 
displayed next to the icons. In Google Maps the name is only displayed in 
the balloon when you click an icon

Are there any currently known workarounds that produce the same, or 
similar, result?
