Which products are relevant to this feature request?
Google Earth

What should this feature enhancement do?
Similar to how points, lines, and polygons can be created in 3D space, it is 
desireable to make styled points, lines, and polygons on the 2D projected 
screen.

Are there any currently known workarounds that produce the same, or
similar, result?
Can make polygons and lines in an image and then use that image as a 
ScreenOverlay, but this is quite a hack which does not scale well.
