Hi everyone! Several drake-related unconf project proposals are available here, here, and here, all labeled "Chicago R Unconference" and categorized by difficulty. Highlights:

• https://github.com/wlandau/drake-examples/issues/13. If you are working on a computationally intense data analysis project for your day job, we can work together to turn it into a drake-powered workflow. Could be a major win-win.
• First time contributing to an open source project? You do not need to know anything about drake to get involved. Issues https://github.com/ropensci/drake/issues/750, https://github.com/ropenscilabs/drake-manual/issues/64, and https://github.com/wlandau/drake-examples/issues/14 are accessible opportunities to patch the documentation.
• https://github.com/ropensci/drake/issues/753. Curious about the CRAN package submission process? On Sunday, March 10, barring any last-minute surprises, let's submit drake version 7.0.0 to CRAN together.

These sounds amazing, @wlandau ! You idea of demoing CRAN submission is brilliant! That's probably one of the least well-documented parts of package development that could use some demystifying.

Accomplishments:

• @BListyg made a ton of progress on https://github.com/wlandau/drake-examples/issues/13. He added a new example drake-powered workflow for a real social science research problem. The runtime is long enough to motivate the usefulness of drake.
• @tjmahr fixed some substantial issues in drake itself (https://github.com/ropensci/drake/issues/743 and https://github.com/ropensci/drake/issues/741) and joined the official list of drake contributors. He also began adapting one of his current behavioral research projects to use drake.
• @kangel09 fixed https://github.com/ropensci/drake/issues/750 and https://github.com/ropenscilabs/drake-manual/issues/64, adding links to guidance on how to use drake and tensorflow together.
• We submitted drake 7.0.0 to CRAN: https://github.com/ropensci/drake/issues/753.
