Put out fires in the broom package #9

There are a lot of open issues in broom that it would be good to chip away at. I'll start tagging issues soon to highlight good first contributions to the package!

Nice! Just thinking aloud: Contributing to popular, published R package is a good way to accumulate strong evidence of your involvement in the open source community. Something you can use in your resume and in applications to scholarships to conferences and unconferences :) (I must have some example here https://maurolepore.github.io/confs/).
