I think this is the fix to #13

Last pull request had some uncaught errors as I ran tests in wrong window. With this addition to pull request, tests complete with same results as master (no errors, 43 warnings).

I've modified the set of tests to reflect these changes.

Additional correction: placing covariates on location parameter is not enabled in this version. Please ignore that line from last commit.
