Triggers - drug use: The main character runs out of ketchup and dips a potato in Vicodin as a replacement. He also uses a painkiller when he is injured but it is not specifically named. - shaving or cutting: The main character shaves off his beard. No cutting. - choking: There are a couple scenes where a spacesuit is running out of oxygen. - bones breaking: Main character suffers broken ribs. - jumpscares: There are several sudden, unexpected, potentially devastating explosions that send one or more people flying. - shower scenes: Not a sexual one. He just needs a shower. - farting or spitting: No farting or spitting, but the main character uses human poop to create fertilizer. - hospital scenes: The only scene in a hospital room is at the very end, when one of the astronauts and her husband are holding their new baby while watching a rocket launch on TV. However, there is an intense, several minute long scene early in the movie when the main character is treating his own bloody wound. - needles or syringes are used: In a scene where he is treating his injury, the main character uses needles to inject painkillers and remove the shard of metal. - self harming: The main character needs to remove metal from inside his body after the initial accident on Mars - this is obviously very painful, but absolutely necessary for him to survive. - misophonia: Quite commonly throughout the movie the main character eats as he works or talks to himself. The sound is quite audible and definitely triggered my misophonia. - claustrophobic scenes: There is a scene where the main character is trapped in his suit while his oxygen is quickly running out - babies/unborn - planes crashing: A rocket explodes shortly after take off. There are no people aboard, so no one is injured when the rocket is destroyed. - blood or gore: There's one very graphic self surgery scene
