Long before he even met Shrek, the notorious fighter, lover and outlaw Puss in Boots becomes a hero when he sets off on an adventure with the tough and street smart Kitty Softpaws and the mastermind Humpty Dumpty to save his town. This is the true story of The Cat, The Myth, The Legend... The Boots.

Cast: Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton, Amy Sedaris, Constance Marie, Mike Mitchell, Guillermo del Toro, Conrad Vernon, Chris Miller, Rich Dietl, Ryan Crego, Tom Wheeler, Tom McGrath, Bob Joles, Latifa Ouaou, Bob Persichetti, Jessica Schulte, Nina Barry, Sergio Bruna, Rebecca Davis, Roberto Donati, Jossara Jinaro, Lara Jill Miller, Joshua Rush, Julie Wittner
Triggers
- gaslighting: I wouldn't say so, but someone is deceived and betrayed big time (over a long time, carefully planned and elaborate, involving co-conspirators, and with serious consequences) by someone they considered their best friend.
- stalking: SPOILER
It's revealed that Humpty Dumpty has been stalking Puss all thorough the movie while planning his revenge on him.
- domestic violence: A woman hits her husband/partner hard. However, it may be an accident; I'm not sure.
- Achilles Tendon injury
- shaving or cutting: Shaving twice - one is done cartoonishly with a rapier as intimidation (you know, Zorro style), and one is ordinary shaving.
- falling deaths: It certainly looks like it. A humanoid egg chooses to sacrifice himself by letting go of the rope he's clinging to, and he falls a looooong way, but he doesn't die; he turns out to be fine and happy, even though his shell has cracked and fallen off. However, for a number of moments the other characters think that he died, and we're meant to think so, too. If you have an issue with death by falling, you'll most likely be triggered.
- infant abduction
- self-sacrifice
- kidnapping: A gosling is kidnapped from its home and its mother.
- hospital scenes: I don't think it's a hospital as such (in any case it's not a modern hospital), but during the end credits we see two people lying in single beds, wrapped in casts from head to toe after breaking, like, all their bones.
- suicide attempts
- people dying by suicide: SPOILER
Humpty Dumpty sacrifices himself to save San Ricardo by letting go off a rope that was holding him above a broken bridge.
- gun violence: Yes. It seems someone is even shot to death, but nothing is graphic.
