Comments / memory issue on thatcamp.org #79

I finally got tired of having thatcamp.org log me out whenever I tried to check comments (or spam comments) on a site, so I turned off all the plugins I possibly could on thatcampdev.info and turned them back on one by one while testing, and it seems to be that Anthologize has been interfering with comment management from the Dashboard somehow. Originally Anthologize was network-activated, and with it deactivated on the network (and for that matter on individual sites), the extreme delay and logouts that were happening when I tried to manage comments went away.

I've kept it installed on the network and available for individual site admins to activate or deactivate, as they choose. It is actually super useful for THATCamps: I generally use it to print out session proposals. But it definitely causes performance issues.

Here's a list of all 52 plugins currently installed on thatcamp.org, which of course is multisite-enabled:

Can you give more details about what you mean by "comment management"? Please give examples of exact workflows to reproduce: spamming items from the Recent Comments dashboard widget? going to Dashboard > Comments and spamming via AJAX? etc etc.

Sure thing. I've Network Activated it again on thatcampdev.info so you can check it out if you want. I go to http://caribbean2012.thatcampdev.info and click "Comments" in the Dashboard: site loads and loads and loads and loads and then logs me out -- resulting URL is this: http://caribbean2012.thatcampdev.info/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fcaribbean2012.thatcampdev.info%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit-comments.php&reauth=1

Usually when I log in again I can get to the page: http://caribbean2012.thatcampdev.info/wp-admin/edit-comments.php

But then if I, say, click on Spam, usually the same thing happens (though it's not for that particular site, maybe because there's nothing in spam).
