We are planning to migrate (and refactor) forcefield_generators.py to http://github.com/choderalab/openmm-forcefields, which will also provide the latest OpenMM and CHARMM forcefields in OpenMM native ffxml format.
The current openmoltools.forcefield_generators will be deprecated. I'll add a warning to the existing code that this functionality will be removed in a future release.
