This part (/AndroidThingClientApp) I will install in smartphone device? The other part in intel edison? Do I need install firebase first or not? (Thanks

1) Yes, AndroidThingClientApp needs to be install in Mobile. 2) Yes other part needs to be install in intel edison or Raspberry pi. 3) Needs to set up firebase console. https://firebase.google.com/docs/database/ Provide universal read/write in firebase realtime database.
