No playable streams found on this URL #1665

I get since 10.01.2019 the message "No playable streams found on this URL" on Youtube livestreams. Youtube livestreams are no longer working with the VLC Media Player today.

I am seeing the same but it looks like YouTube changed something and broke everything including VLC, Youtube-DL, livestreamer, streamlink etc.

Does anyone know of any alternative to download YouTube streams?

Youtube-dl now can again. They released an update yesterday so you may want to give that a shot. The good thing is that since ytdl could fix it, so can the rest.

Oh, that sounds good. maybe streamlink will then release an update. Is it possible to download youtube-streams with Youtube-dl?
