Official Mirror Policy Discussion #20

Currently mirrors fall into an undefined zone according to our acceptance standards. I think it would be useful to discuss how we know which mirrors are 'good' and which are 'bad' (if there can be a bad mirror).

What should the rules be for including new mirrors?

This is tricky. I don't feel like we should be transferring ownership between clear and hidden sites; but at the same time, it would make that much more of the web redirected to hidden services. There's a pro against every con I can come up with, so I have no idea at this time what route is the best to proceed.

I'd rather get a firm no to this question, rather than a reluctant yes. Until we get more answers, I think we should keep on the current path of not transferring ownership for the time being.
