Savings Plan Details #1

I have a customer need to get Savings Plan information out of Azure via Power BI. I would love to see something that addresses that as the normal Cost Management app doesn't have this yet. for example:

  1. Holistic view of all savings plan in place in an enrollment
  2. Utilization of those savings plan
  3. Chargeback details for services (amortized data set) for services that include the savings plan & RI amortized costs
  4. Savings being realized by the organization by using the savings plans (or RIs)
  5. Visuals on how additional savings could be unlocked using RIs or Savings plan (i.e. a direct compare of potential savings)

Lastly, and this may be a separate item, but my customer has multiple enrollments so if there was a way to collapse cost reporting overall across multiple enrollments into a single view that would be super interesting to them.

Hi @chrislittle, Unfortunately the savings plan purchases are not fully in the Power BI connector as yet, from what I understand. I also haven't got access to any enrolment with savings plans to validate. If/when I get access to one I will review.

On the second point, you could modify the queries to merge several enrollments into one table (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/merge-queries-overview), however you would need to be careful on some of the helper dimension tables in the datamodel as they don't take into account enrollment ID / tenant.
