1) Some questions can be answered right away. Questioner doesn't need to wait couple days for it to be answered.
2) Some questions are too specific and may not be common. Having someone chatting with you in real-time can help you solve problems faster and more efficiently.
3) Some of the code snippets that are posted on SO or any other programming forums may not work on your computer. If it works on the online IDE, at least you know that there is nothing wrong with the code and any problem must be an environment issue.
