Genre, Director etc not loading? #19

I don't know if this is a known issue but I added a personal subemenu into my video tab. I wanted to have a menu node for Genres but when I want to open it, Kodi is loading and loading... When I try this on an other skin, it works...

Thanks for reporting Quintz. I suppress the submenu that includes video genres etc at skin level. The constant loading spinner appears because the skin is hiding the listing.

Bottom line: Known potential issue but one that shouldn't break with such lack of grace.

There are two options I can think of off the top of my head to fix this. The first is to allow the view of other suppressed content if the user actively sets a menu item to that level. The second is to provide filtering options within the context menu when the user is viewing the movie / tvshow listings.

From a usability perspective, I'd prefer the latter option. Would that work for your needs?

The latter seems good. But it would be nice to fix the original menu entries instead of creating new menu items.
