It takes quite some time to fill the field with the walls, and with large fingers they usually end up in the wrong spot!

No, as:

you can place the arrows anywhere, - even at say the other corner of the game
but it might not be possible to have those arrows joined in a continuous region

in case u want to counter: that no, such situation won't be possible when considering the solution for whole board, and is just a hypothetical case
then no, it actually has happened with me - i had arrows perfectly laid on whole board, and this still happened
