When playing Galaxies on a mobile device, it is difficult to zoom in/out or shift the viewing area horizontally/vertically without unintentionally placing lines. Most puzzles in this app, that I've tried, avoid this problem by waiting to place lines/tiles/etc. until after you remove your finger from the screen; this puzzle does not wait. As such, I think that making Galaxies behave the same way would be a good solution.
