Singles extension: replace the eliminated cells like a normal sudoku

Idea

As shown in the image below, the singles game can be extended after it's finished - i.e. after all the redundant cells are eliminated
with extension being: to fill the correct numbers in those cells - i.e. similar to a normal sudoku (aka solo in this collection) without the constraint of "3x3 block" i.e. only of rows/columns.

Implementation methods:

This can be optional - like an additional button in the game completion menu --> something like "Continue to play the extension" mode
Or, this can be implemented in the singles game menus too
I'd prefer the first method - as that will not change the current singles game in any way, rather it can be thought of as it will just continue a separate game of solo with carried over prefilled cells
however, this will require change to the game completion UI and some nice UI/UX design

Notice that all the elements of the principle diagonal here are same :D

I just realised that there's no game of sudoku in the collection which doesn't have those block constraints, so...
can't share a realistic example of how the UX flow would feel like

anyhow, just as an example,

following would be the game of "Towers" for which the above game would be one of the solution:
towers#5: top: 2/1/3/2/3/ bot: 3/2/2/1/3/ lft: 2/1/2/3/3/ ryt: 3/3/1/2/2

i know this well. But as for why i didn't: I raised one issue upstream, did not have good experience communicating on an issue via un-editable mails

mails - imo - are either for totally formal, or totally informal topics. these semi-formal back and forths dont fit the email category.

i faced other problem(s) with upstream communication too - but that was not due to the emails.

You don't understand. These reports go to Boyle. Boyle doesn't create or add the games to the package. He ports them to Android. Reports here are strictly for issues or requests regarding how that port is implemented. (Thanks, Chris.)

Tatham creates the games. He writes them in such a way that they can be easily ported to other systems, like Android. Then he adds them to the package. This github isn't for Tatham. He doesn't see anything posted here, nor can he respond to it. It's strictly for Boyle. If you have a comment or suggestion about a game, it goes to Tatham. His email was posted above.

listen, i'd say it straight without any buttering - don't take it to heart

i am creating issues - i am not repeatedly poking anyone for responses - i just post my input, and that's mostly it.
chris doesn't seem to have any problem with that.
the motive - to convey the info to me about the right way of filing these issues - in case i didn't know about it - is already completed above
so, who are you in all this to repeat the stuff again?

if there's any problem on this matter, and chris doesn't want my such issue reports, then he himself can say that straight, and i will stop any further posting - no hard feelings. but unless he doesn't object, please don't do repeated community policing on what doesn't concern you.

for sake of trying to answer for most probable cases, here's one more:

yeah, if you (or say, some future you) just intended to implicitly inform me that u think this (or other such) issue is worth posting to upstream, then thanks - but i won't do it.

however, i have no problem with someone else posting it upstream either - just iterate this intention in comments here as a general information.

if tatham chooses some public mailing list in future, then pasting the upstream discussion link here, and pasting some reference back here on upstream (smth like: originally posted at ) - just so that both parties can track any progress - will be appreciated.
