python 3.0 #41

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
when running shedskin with the python -3 flag, some things are deprecated.

This fixes at least the minor problems, but with python 3.0 the compiler
module will be removed and anything has to be rewritten with the ast module.

thanks, I commited the changes! but please do replace TABs next time.. I'm one
of
those aggressive TAB-haters.

let's say it's fortunate that Python 2.x will still be used for a long time.
I'd be
happy to work on supporting Python 3.x when there is a more active community
around
Shedskin, but I have no idea if that will ever happen..

Why?

Shedskin still does not run with python3. Or did you want to 'wontfix' this?

Status 'Fixed' is definetely wrong...
(Or did I miss something?)

well, the attached patch was committed.. but if you'd like to keep this open as
a general "python 3 support" issue, I'm fine with that too.
