Pulled pork does not complain about permissions issues in

[GoogleCodeExporter]

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.run pulled pork as user A
2.run pulled port as user B
3.snort will never see a rules update when run as user B.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to see an error that /tmp/snortrules-snapshot-2905.tar.gz.md5 and/or 
/tmp/snortrules-snapshot-2905.tar.gz is not writable by the current user.

I see no errors and a seemingly successful run.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Ubuntu 11.04 LTS, PP 0.6.0

Please provide any additional information below.
