Slice3dVWR polydata objects don't respond to object properties #202

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Display a triangulated surface (e.g. vti) in slice3dVWR
2. Change the colour in the Slice3DVWR "control panel"

What do you see instead?
* The color doesn't change (always red, regardless of setting).
* Visibility cannot be toggled via the check-box

(This behaviour seen in rev. 4071)
