Just wondering. This seems like an awesome plugin for Homebridge / Hoobs, but updates stopped so long ago.

From my understanding Google killed the loophole people were using to get access to the user token that made this plugin work. There is a new method to use a cookie, but it would require some rewriting of this plugin and it seems nobody has taken up the task. There is a more recent solution using Home Assistant which I am looking into trying once I have my new Nest Protect smoke detectors installed.

@braddunlap the Home Assistant integration is using the same cookie method as homebridge-nest. The cookie method was already in this repository for a long time actually.

I'm still currently using this plugin, and have been for over a year without issues. Not sure if there's any active development on it, but havne't seen issues controlling Nest from Home
