home.nest.com doesn't work? #645

Following instructions to get google cookie I can't log in. Just round and round in circles. sign in with Google, then select an account then back to start. I can sign into Google home.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Follow instructions to go to home.nest.com (at least UK)
  2. Try log in

Expected behavior Login

Include with your bug report this version info:

node --version
homebridge --version literally just installed and is problem with instructions anyway. Have not started it.

Make sure you have the latest LTS from https://nodejs.org and the latest packages: npm upgrade -g homebridge homebridge-nest

Also include debug log output from startup through seeing the issue: DEBUG=* homebridge -D

I have no extensions in incognito mode I know of. Maybe a cookie blocker is working in incognito...

Just checked no cookie blockers anywhere.

Just wanted to add in here that I am having the same issue on my end as well. US here if that matters.

I've never been able to get it to work in incognito mode. I think the google login won't work that way. I just follow the instructions with a regular (non incognito window) and it works fine.

In incognito mode, you need to enable Third Party Cookies on the toolbar in Chrome. Otherwise, you will just loop around the log in screen. I have just done this and it works as detailed in the documentation.
