Check for Updates not working? #59

The Check for Updates menu item doesn't seem to do anything.

I'm using Windows 10.

Hi @88fingerslukee , thanks for reporting this! What version of the app are you currently using? This can be seen under Help>About Android Messages Desktop

Ah, updates should still be working for you. 0.4.0 is the newest version right now.

There is no message when an update is not found, and the current update message only shows after it has been downloaded. But it sounds like that's a great idea for a new feature.

I'm about to publish a new version of the app which will be 0.5.0. I'll post here when it's released.

The check for updates is also not working for Mac 10.13.6

Maybe adding a dialog box saying "There are no available updates" might help with the placebo?
