Yes 2.0beta5, I'm going via the top left dropdown box to settings, Engin: fade options, fade style.
Same Probleme here. 2.0beta5 (Latest from the release side)
Are there any uses of event engine field fade style? Any old Set fade style events from 2.0b4 should have been converted to engine field events, but perhaps there's an issue there?

After setting fade to white, compiled game (running on real hardware will fade to black not white.
Does not appear to be an issue with running the game from the editor. (this appears to obey whatever option you have selected) Only when compiling the rom / .gb file. I have not tried html.
