Connects to server but cannot browse any music #16

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to a mt-daap server full of music
2. Touch "All Songs"
3. Message shows: "The playlist selected is empty"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I can browse the whole collection with Rhythmbox or with a DAAP client for
iPhone. With daap-client it just says "The playlist selected is empty".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

daap-client 0.8.3.1 on Android 2.1 for Motorola Milestone (Droid).
mt-daapd 0.2.4.2-4 on PlugBox Linux (ARM)

Please provide any additional information below.

If you need, I can hook the mt-daap server to the public Internet so you can
try connecting.

Hey,
Thanks for reporting this. I can debug very well if you make the server public
just for a little while. I should be able to find out the problem quickly this
way. Thank you very much for reporthing this.

I have just downloaded the version .08.4.1 but I still recieve the error
message.
The only difference is that I use TwonkyMedia 4.4.1.7 at the server-side. I do
not own any other DAAP clients to test the server. Could you by any chance
verify this error?

@AllP84,
If you give me your public server address, I could fix this issue for you. It
would only take me a little time. You can e-mail me the address, if you are
uncomfortable posting it here. I will solve the problem for you!

There is a program called "alogcat" could you install that and give me the log?
It would help solve this problem.

I am running into this same issue: daap-client can connect to my Firefly
server, but it says the playlists are empty. On one occasion, I saw the
daap-cilent successfully return results from the main Library playlist.
Interestingly, when I go to "all songs", some of the songs are listed.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that I have a lot of songs
(20k+)?
