Can't see or connect to Miro share on Windows 7 #74

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installed daap-client on MyTouch 3G (Android 2.2.1)
2. Miro 4.0.4 installed on Windows 7 configured to share music and video
3. MyTouch joined to same network segment via WiFi and can be pinged from Miro
server
4. Server did not automatically appear in local server list
5. Tried to add Miro server manually by entering IP address and leaving 3689 as
the port (3689 is active and listening)
6. daap-client cannot connect.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see the server and to connect. Responds with 'Unable to connect'
message.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android DAAP client .9.6.2.

Please provide any additional information below.
Haven't been able to find any details about how the connection is supposed to
work. There is no mention of setting a password.

Update, DAAP Media Player seems to find the local server (for me)
automatically, but it was unable to connect. Looking into it more.

Update
Seems that Miro is sending an error 403 after an "update" request:

http://192.168.1.113:54323/login -------> All is good here
http://192.168.1.113:54323/update?session-id=1539363305&revision-number=1
http://192.168.1.113:54323/update?session-id=1539363305&revision-number=1 --->
Get a 403

Also, it hangs on logout. Still investigating

Hi,
I've been trying the same thing, from a Mac with Miro Version 4.0.3 (b0ea592d),
default port 3689.Miro server is seen, but when trying to connect it says
'unable to connect'.
I'm also running Tangerine as a daemon (port 51841), and that is recognized just fine by daap. I don't know how to change the port on Miro...
I can try stuff if needed and directed.

Thanks for any help, cheers, G

Thanks for your support Guillaumestahl. I couldn't figure out how to change
the port on Miro also. I've started a request for help at
http://getsatisfaction.com/participatoryculturefoundation/topics/daap_protocol

I'm just not sure why they are forbidding us to do the update command.
